MC6: 24 Hour Song

At midnight on Halloween The Flaming Lips released their 24 hour song entitled ’7 skies H3′, which streams online constantly. You can come and go as you please joining up to 999 listeners at a time. If you decide to purchase 7 skies H3 it comes on a flash drive encased in an actual human skull, and all this could be yours for the oh so small price of $5000. WHAT?!?!

Wayne Coyne who describes the recording as a sound odyssey said in an interview, “I could imagine that there would be groups of people that would perhaps rent a hotel room in Antarctica and take a lot of mushrooms and listen to this all together in pure sunlight for 24 hours or pure night,”

It is fun to listen to for awhile, and imagine who else might be listening to this piece with you anywhere in the world.

Listen!
